Websites for doulas

Launch a beautiful website for your doula practice

We plan it, design it, write it and take it live for you, then hand it over for you to run. Whether you are newly certified or a hundred births in, your practice gets a site that looks the part and is built to be found by the families searching for it.

  • No setup fee
  • £300 a year, 12-month plan
  • Pay after your call

A sample design, not a client site. Yours is made for your practice.

Why a website

When a family decides they want a doula, they search for one

Not in a Facebook group and not on Instagram. In a search bar, often late at night, typing questions like the ones below. The practices that show up are the ones with a website that answers them. The rest are not in the running, however good they are.

  • A page for each thing you offer, so each search has somewhere to land
  • Your town and the areas you cover, named where Google looks for them
  • The questions families ask, answered in plain words
  • doula near me
  • what does a doula do
  • postnatal doula cost uk
  • birth doula manchester
  • hypnobirthing doula
  • do i need a doula

What we do

A complete service, start to finish

We go well beyond development. After a call about your practice, and payment by secure link, we plan your site’s structure, design it, draft the content, source the imagery and take it live. All of it for £300 a year on a 12-month plan.

  1. 01

    Book a call

A proper conversation about your practice: who you support, what you offer, how you work and what you want the site to do. Free, with no obligation.

  2. 02

    Pay by secure link

If you want to go ahead, we send you a secure payment link. Payment comes before any build work, and we then confirm everything we need from you.

  3. 03

    We build it

We plan the pages your practice needs, design them around your colours and tone, write the first draft of every page and source the imagery.

  4. 04

    You preview

We aim to have a preview ready within 5 working days of receiving everything we need, with two rounds of revisions on the design.

  5. 05

    You go live

We launch on your domain once you approve it. From then on you edit your own content, and support is included.

£300a year, 12-month plan

Design, content, imagery, hosting, the editor and support. No setup fee. Renews yearly. Cancel any time — your plan stops at the end of the year you've paid for. No part refunds.

After launch

You keep control

Once your site is live it is yours to run. Add a page, change your fees, swap a photograph, publish an article about what you have learned. There is nothing to install and no code anywhere near you.

And if you get stuck, ask. Support is included.

  • Edit any text or image yourself, from your phone if you like
  • Add pages and publish articles whenever you want
  • Your words, your photos and your domain are yours

A cut above the rest

Better than a template. Kinder than an agency quote.

Most doula websites are built on a Saturday afternoon in a page builder, or bought once from a freelancer and never touched again. Here is how ours differs.

Search work that is built in, not bolted on

  1. 01

A title and description written for every page

For the search a family types, not generated from the heading.

  2. 02

    Structured data Google can read

Your business, your services, your articles and your questions, marked up so search engines understand them.

  3. 03

    Your area, named properly

Families search by place. Your pages say where you work, in the places Google looks.

  4. 04

    Fast, static pages

No plugins and no page-builder weight. Speed is a ranking factor and a courtesy.

  5. 05

A sitemap and robots file that are actually right

Small things, wrong on a surprising number of sites.

  6. 06

    Somewhere to write

An article section, because the doula who answers questions in public is the one who gets found.

The research

What a page builder won’t tell you

We studied the UK doula websites that rank best, page by page. They share a clear pattern, and even they miss things that cost them enquiries. A template hands you a blank page and none of this. Knowing it is the work we do.

How we researched it

Eight UK birth and postnatal doula practices that rank for doula searches in London, Manchester, Bristol, Leeds and beyond. 79 pages read in full, August 2026. Directories were left out: they are a different kind of business.

What the best-ranking doula sites do

  • 88%

publish their prices, structured to reward booking more

  • 88%

split their support by stage: antenatal, birth, postnatal

  • 75%

name the area they cover in their titles and headings

Every site we build starts from this structure.

And what even they miss

  • 0%

    publish local business markup

    What it costs

Nothing tells Google these are local services with an area they cover. For work sold on being close enough to get to a birth, that is the signal that matters most.

    What we build

Built into every site we make. No plugin, no setting to find.

  • 25%

have a page for each town they cover

    What it costs

Families search by place, and the practices with a page for each town rank for those towns. Everyone else is relying on one homepage to be found everywhere.

    What we build

We plan area pages into your site’s structure from the start.

  • 38%

quote a family they have supported

    What it costs

Choosing a doula means choosing who will be in the room, yet most sites never let a family say what that was like.

    What we build

Testimonials get a planned place on your site, not a page you have to invent.

  • 50%

explain what a doula actually does

    What it costs

Families arrive asking how a doula differs from a midwife, and whether they need one at all. Half the sites leave them to find the answer somewhere else.

    What we build

We draft those answers, marked up so search engines and AI assistants can read them.

Questions

Questions doulas ask us

Is the build really free?

There is no setup fee and no upfront build cost. You pay £300 per year — 12-month plan, renews yearly — which covers the design, the writing, the build, hosting, your SSL certificate, the content editor and support. We recover the build over the years you stay with us, which is why the website itself is part of your subscription.

What does £300 a year actually cover?

Designing and building your website, writing your first copy and sourcing its imagery, the content editor, hosting, security updates, backups and support. There is no setup fee, no page limit and no premium tier. You get two rounds of revisions on the design before it goes live; redesigns and new functionality are quoted separately, and day-to-day content changes are yours to make in the editor.

How quickly can my website be live?

We aim to have your website ready to preview within 5 working days of receiving everything we need: typically your bio, services, photos, any testimonials and your domain details. You get two rounds of revisions on the design, and it goes live once you approve it. If things take longer to arrive, the timescale moves with them.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Your plan is £300 a year for 12 months and renews yearly, and we remind you at least 30 days before each renewal. Cancel any time — your plan stops at the end of the year you've paid for. No part refunds.

Can I edit the website myself?

Yes, and you should. You get a simple editor where you can change any text, swap any image, and publish articles. It needs no code and no training day. If you get stuck, ask us and we will help — support is included.

Do I own my website and my content?

Your words, your photos and your domain are yours. The website itself is part of your subscription. We build it at no upfront cost, so you are licensed to use it for as long as you subscribe. If you leave, we give you an export of your content on request, and your domain goes with you.

Will families actually find me on Google?

Your website is built to be found on Google. Every page gets a proper heading structure, a unique title and description, structured data, and a sitemap Google can read. But no one can guarantee a ranking, traffic or enquiries: that also depends on where you are, how competitive it is, and how much you add to the site over time.

What if I already have a website?

We can rebuild it and keep your existing web addresses, so search engines can carry over what they already know about your site. Tell us where it is on our call and we will look at it with you.
